My best friend Shima, who is an awesome chef and baker, used to bake cakes and cupcakes for a living. She had plenty of orders and eventually felt that this little establishment needed branding and menu.
This bubbly, uber talented girl could never make up her mind, so she called it The Cake Shop (so meta! :p), and I got to be the one to create illustrations and write stuff for it. I've known her since elementary school, I know her taste, and that is how we came up with these designs. Unfortunately, she no longer takes orders as she is now a full time mom.
Below you can see the menu and some other tidbits that I drew using my subpar Adobe Illustrator skills, as well as a peek to one of my earliest copywriting gig - fresh out of college!
